  • Co-founder of Silverado Senior Living, Mr. Shook recruited and leads Silverado’s management team which developed and operates 20 assisted living communities (1,664 beds) serving those with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and other memory impairments located throughout California, Utah, Texas and Arizona in addition to projections to develop and operate two to three additional communities annually. Silverado’s management team also operates two additional service lines: Silverado At Home which provides Assessment, Care Management and Home Care Services; and Silverado Hospice which provides Hospice Care at Silverado communities, at home, and at facilities in general.
  • Developed 32 new behavioral health care systems with hospitals throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, four reconstructed hospitals, over 20 medical office buildings and multiple hospital expansions, total construction exceeded $350 million.

  • Directed entire merger process including the integration of 1,000-employees, all systems and state, federal, SEC and NASDAQ regulatory approvals. Managed all investor relations activities.
  • Reduced DSO (day’s sales outstanding) from 85 days to 65 days over last three years.
  • Led negotiation of a $24 million debt for equity swap that relieved the company of debt burden.
  • Completed 15 acquisitions from $1 to $45 million purchase price.
  • Assisted in the development of IRIS (InSight Radiology Information System), a fully integrated information system including patient demographics, imaging procedures and billing and collections.

  • Collaborated with other team members to operationalize the Silverado Senior Living philosophy in the newly acquired Texas communities thereby “giving life to those that others have given up on” and within one year generated a positive cash flow.

Frank Russo is the Vice President of Risk Management for Silverado Senior Living, based in Irvine, Calif. Frank is responsible for all aspects of Silverado’s company-wide Risk Management program, which includes Legal, Professional Insurance and Employee and Resident Safety. Frank came to Silverado in 2005 from the Insurance Carrier side where he had worked for a Fortune 200 company. Franks creative and proven Risk Management programs and policies have been the recipient of numerous local and National awards and profiled in both industry and business publications alike.
