SILVERADO SENIOR LIVING SELECTED BY NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE (NFL) TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO RETIRED NFL PLAYERS AND THEIR FAMILIES

Orange County, CA, March 6, 2008 -

Thursday, March 06, 2008- Silverado Senior Living, Inc. has been selected by the National Football League Alliance, comprised of the NFL, NFL Players Association, Pro Football Hall of Fame and NFL Alumni Association, to make available Silverado services to the former players and their families. Silverado services include Care Management, Home Care and Assisted Living services specifically for individuals with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or other forms of memory impairment. Silverado also provides end of life care through Silverado Hospice.

As part of the NFL Alliances commitment to address the medical needs of retired players, new programs have been implemented including assisted living arrangements, joint replacement surgery and rehabilitation, health screening, prostate cancer screening and a prescription drug card.

In addition to the recent enhancements, the NFL and Players Association made improvements as part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement in 2006 including the following item specifically related to the care of those with dementia:

• 88 Plan: Players who are vested under the pension plan are eligible for payment of certain medical and custodial expenses, whether provided at home or in an institution, that are a result of dementia, including Alzheimer's, regardless of the age when care becomes necessary. The benefit will provide up to $88,000 per year for institutional care or up to $50,000 per year for in-home nursing care. In addition, the NFL and NFL Players Association are funding research on dementia. The benefit is named in honor of Pro Football Hall of Famer JOHN MACKEY.

"Silverado Senior Living is very honored to have been selected by the NFL Alliance to be a provider of services for their players and families" said Loren Shook, President and CEO of Silverado. "We are pleased to be a part of these new programs designed to address the needs of the retired NFL players. As specialists in the care and service to those with dementia, we look forward to being a valuable resource to the NFL, its players and families to address the unique and individualized needs of those suffering from Alzheimer's Parkinson's, or any other memory impairing disease."
