"Silverado is so different from other employers because I have an opportunity to bless and touch the lives of others and know that this company stands behind it. I love the fact that this company is based on the Love is greater than Fear philosophy; that it's not an empty philosophy written on paper, but a true way of life for our associates and families. I am inspired by the people I lead everyday and the client's that we serve."
-Court Riddle, DCCP, Administrator, Silverado At Home-Houston
"Silverado specializes in providing quality care for those who have memory impairments and goes above and beyond to make sure that we are the leaders in our field through education, support and community hospice involvement. I love providing quality care for those with dementia with respect and dignity at all times. I am able to give LIFE to those with memory impairments on a daily basis either at home or in a Silverado community. Silverado is their word and follows through with quality care knowing change is necessary to continue growth and provide excellent care for those we serve."
Annelle Travis, Administrator, Silverado At Home-Los Angeles
"What makes Silverado so different in the field of caring for people with memory-impairing diseases? Silverado Co-Founder, President and CEO Loren Shook says, "Silverado associates and affiliated healthcare professionals across California, Texas, Utah and Arizona in all of our locations are consistently touching the human spirit in our residents, patients and clients in a way that motivates them to move to a new level of comfort and confidence. We have studied how that result evolves and discovered one universal reason which we refer to as the 'Silverado Magic.' It happens because of the love our staff gives to the people they serve, be it someone in our direct care, a family member or to each other within our organization. This love that is expressed throughout Silverado is the core reason we touch the human spirit in those who walk through our doors."
- Administrator for Silverado At Home Care
"I believe Silverado allows its employees to focus on their strengths and find a position best suited for them. There is ample opportunity for growth and as employees we are given the independence to be innovative. I love that it feels like a part of my life, not just a job. I have great friends at work I look forward to seeing every day. I am able to bring my dog to work and share my life with my co-workers. I love that Silverado is able to help people in SO many ways. It is wonderful to know that, when I take an inquiry, there is almost certainly a way Silverado can meet the person's needs, be it through Geriatric Care Management, Home Care, Assisted Living or Hospice. Silverado's continuum of care allows me to feel like I am able to make even more of an impact on peoples' lives."

Ladies Lunch Story
"Several of our clients had mentioned to their care companions that they missed their women's clubs, bridge dates and book clubs," said Schiesser. "Adult Day Services Programs are strictly for seniors, and many of our home care clients feel more comfortable with their trusted care companions at their sides." Schiesser had an idea: Why not get several of the ladies in Silverado's care together for a ladies lunch and plan it around a theme? "After the meal is served and the discussions start, you would be hard pressed to believe that these women are not long lost friends meeting to discuss the last time that they got together. They don't remember what they had for lunch and they don't remember the topics discussed, but they thoroughly enjoyed everything in the moment." Read Story
- Kathy Schiesser, a Geriatric Care Manager for Silverado At Home
"We are truly committed to making a difference and improving the lives of the seniors we serve. In simpler words, we walk the talk. Without support and guidance, Alzheimer's disease can devastate a family. How fortunate am I to share my own experience and bring the message of hope to families each and every day. We are passionate about our work. We embrace the philosophy that love is greater than fear in everything we do."
-Pamela Leszczynski, Administrator, Silverado At Home-Orange County
"I love being the administrator for Silverado At Home because those with memory impairment come first. Having worked in other Assisted Living communities, the care received by those with dementia was never the same caliber as those residing in AL. At Silverado we provide quality care 24 hours a day 7 days a week and every need is met in a timely manner. Our clients at home have the expertise of a Geriatric Care Manager who oversees the care of our residents, supports the family and is always available 24/7 to meet the needs of our clients who choose to remain in their own home. They are always treated with respect and dignity no matter what level of memory loss they may have and always given choices in engagement, meals and daily routines therefore increasing their quality of life. When the time comes to transition to our assisted living communities, the families and clients are happy to know that this transition is easier because of the familiar faces that have been with them for many years who now accompany them to their new home during the transition packages that we offer and the invaluable information we are able to give the assisted living communities."
