Bryan McNutt
Director of Family and Support Services
Bryan currently serves as the Director of Family and Support Services, which provides support and management of the psychosocial needs of patients and their families. This department focuses on a wide range of clinical responsibilities, including social work, spiritual care, and bereavement counseling services. Bryan first joined the Silverado Hospice team in San Diego in 2006 and has served in several different capacities while at Silverado. These include providing spiritual care and clinical counseling support for patients, and extensive bereavement aftercare services for surviving family members in the form of individual, family, and group counseling treatment. Bryan also assists in providing training and in-service education for Silverado associates and various healthcare organizations throughout San Diego county.
Bryan has a Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.) with an emphasis in Pastoral Counseling, as well as two years of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training. He also has a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology (M.A.) and will be licensed as an MFT psychotherapist by the end of summer 2010. Previous clinical experience includes inpatient psychiatric, general acute hospital, and rehabilitation care services. Bryan is also a certified grief counselor (GC-C) through the American Academy of Grief Counseling. He is currently a sitting candidate for his PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Julie Bahr, MSW is the Director of Volunteer Services for Silverado Hospice.
Denise Ackerman
Admissions Coordinator
Denise Ackerman is the Admissions Coordinator for Silverado Hospice. Denise joined the team because she was impressed with the stellar reputation that the company had for patient, family and team members.
As a team member she was excited about bringing her personal touch to her duties as Admissions Coordinator. She knew that her position assists in the process of providing patients with palliative care and relief of mind.
Having personal experience with the Hospice process with a family member encouraged her to take her nursing skills to the next level and directed her career from floor nursing to the hospice sector.
Since starting with Silverado, she has seen that her coworkers not only work as a team, but genuinely care about one another and the patients as though they were an extension of their personal families.
This is why her path has led to a career with Silverado Hospice………
