Social, Cognitive and Physical Stimulation for Your Loved One
Care for dementia, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Lewy-Body disease, is provided in a homelike assisted living community in Tustin that includes beautiful garden paths, and comfortable outside areas. Residents are free to wander around the grounds within the secure perimeter. Engaging activities that stimulate cognitive retention are provided throughout the day.
Short-term stays are also available through respite care, allowing you to take that trip, or just that needed break. Respite care in our Tustin memory care - assisted living community is available for overnight, weekend or even longer stays.
Residential pets, intergenerational activities, sensory experiences and regular outings are all part of why Silverado Tustin is home. In addition to our community pets, individuals are encouraged to bring their own pet to live with them in their new home. A friendly wag of the tail, or soft purr on the lap is always a welcome addition!
Team members are allowed to bring their children to work with them (there is even a child's playground onsite) so that laughter as the kids and elders interact is a common sound. This has the added benefit of employee satisfaction and retention ... especially important to consider when dealing with dementia, as consistency of care is essential.
Family support is crucial in the world of dementia care. It is a difficult disease; we are here to assist you through the process. A full-time Master's prepared Social Worker is onsite to help you deal with a variety of issues, from family discussions to life planning for the future. Monthly Family Support meetings are available to the public, including onsite respite at no charge, and Family Night outings offer the caregivers a much-needed night of their own.
Food is a very important part of our resident daily life. Weight loss is always a concern with the elderly, one we take very seriously. Our culinary department is headed by a Master Chef who brings elegance and taste to every meal. Families are invited to join loved ones at any meal, free of charge. We even have a private dining room for special occasions!
Whether Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke-related, or other cause, dementia can create behavioral problems that increase over time. Many assisted living facilities cannot handle these behaviors, and insist difficult cases leave their facility. That is not the case at Silverado. Our behavior modification techniques redirect difficult behaviors, allowing your loved one to remain in their new home to the end of their life. Families need not suffer the trauma of moving their loved one.
Your loved one will be cherished in their new home. You will feel the love.
