Our Medical Directors
Are board certified physicians who are experts in areas of specialty such as neurology, internal medicine, geriatrics and psychiatry. They are involved in the oversight of the quality of care at each of our Silverado communities. Our Medical Directors collaborate directly with the residents' personal attending physicians and with the Silverado team to provide both the patient and their family the highest level of care. By acting as a liaison between the attending physician and the resident, our directors are able to provide invaluable information and comprehensive preventative care.
Set the tone for a positive, encouraging, and enjoyable environment for each resident. The Administrator takes pride in managing the care services and vision for the community. They are responsible for the positive home-like experience the residents receive at Silverado, down to the fulfillment of their smallest need. The Administrator's goal is to achieve the highest level of quality in each service provided to a resident and his or her family. To this end, they meet with staff daily to review planned activities, ensuring that an encouraging and life enriching environment is provided. Our Administrators want to help and diligently work to resolve any questions or concerns.
Our Director Of Health Services (DHS)
Coordinates residents' care within the community and supervises the licensed nurses and caregivers. Our Director is a registered nurse who develops personal care plans for each resident, and oversees all medical care and treatments. This RN will be communicating with other health care professionals, such as the Medical Director, physical therapist, dietician, and home health nurses to ensure that each resident has the benefit of appropriate medical resources to maintain wellness and independence as long as possible. In addition to excellent care, the DHS will track your family member's care and actively search for ways to improve their quality of life.
Our Assistant Director Of Health Services (ADHS)
Many Silverado communities also have an ADHS who is either an RN or LVN/LPN. This nurse is available to coordinate medical therapies, review medications, provide additional assessments of residents, and mentor and train the caregivers. The ADHS is a valuable resource in assisting a resident's medical care within the community. They coordinate with residents and their physicians to keep open dialogue with your family regarding your loved one's medical care.
Our Licensed Nurses (LVNs or LPNs)
Our specially trained nurses are experts in nursing care for those affected by all types of dementia. They are trained in communication with residents with dementia, how to positively manage behaviors and how to assess for physical signs and symptoms which may indicate a health condition needing medical care. They work with the RN-DHS to ensure the highest level of clinical services. At every community, our nurses are on-site, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The licensed nurses are available to communicate with physicians, coordinate medical orders, and administer medications and therapies, according to physician orders.
Our Director Of Resident and Family Services (DRFS)
Is a licensed social worker. Your DRFS is here to help ensure a smooth transition of your loved one to the Silverado environment. They assist each resident and family with the social activities offered within the community. Silverado offers a wide range of adult oriented and life enriching activities such as art, music, outdoor clubs, and outings. The transition to a community can sometimes be intimidating, but your DRFS is here to help both, you and your loved one, have a positive experience with our amazing staff and beautiful community. They may also facilitate support group meetings. By working with the families, the DRFS is able to meet each resident's needs for services inside and outside of the community. They are here to help arrange transportation and any documentation to ensure your loved one feels both independent and safe. The DRFS serves as a vital support system for residents and family members.
