Terry has been with Silverado for 2 and ½ years, 2 years with Silverado Beach Cities and 6 months with Silverado Beverly Place, she is also a Certified Senior Advisor.
Terry has over 30 years in the healthcare industry, and a 2 year degree in business, her experience has been varied and extensive. As a mother she was the caregiver for her son who was born with Muscular Dystrophy and as a business women she has worked for HMO’s, Acute hospitals, Blue Cross, Physician Medical Groups, Nurse staffing agencies, A Place For Mom and knows the ins and outs of this industry.
There is no doubt that her past experience has fine tuned her marketing skills, particularly as she has also been the entrepreneur in two successful business ventures. She is caring and highly motivated in her passion to understand what it takes to bring in the business.
With the aging of her parents she grew interested in working with seniors and worked in Assisted Living as a Assistant Administrator, and Community Relations Director, as well as a Eldercare Advisor prior to Silverado. She started working with seniors in 2006 when her parents and her husband’s parents started needing assistance. She realized at this time that the field of Assisted Living was where her heart was and she would continue her career making sure others were taken care of.
On a personal note what truly drew Terry to Silverado: she wanted to learn and understand more about dementia since her mom had developed dementia a few years prior while only in her 70’s.
In her role as: Community Ambassador, she enjoys interacting with our professional referral sources and educating them on what Silverado can do for their clients and patients with memory impairment. She also says she is also able to communicate with her mom with what she has learned and observed in Silverado communities.
Her hobbies are: bird watching, reading, movies, gardening, biking, avid soccer and hockey fan.
She is happily married and has 2 birds, a cockatiel “Ziggy” and parakeet “Sid the Kid”.
