Dear Jean and Staff,
Thank you for a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration on Tuesday evening. Everything and everyone was so elegant, warm and welcoming. You all obviously put a great deal of effort into making the evening the tremendous success it was and we truly appreciate it. The message that came through for us was, "We know your loved ones are an important part of your families and perhaps if you all can't be together this Thanksgiving at your houses, then you can all celebrate as a family here at their home. And we'd like to help them be the hosts and hostesses they'd like to be." Your caring and generosity of spirit and time and effort mean a great deal to us all and we know you worked for weeks to make it happen.
Our compliments to the chefs. The food was delicious. The "wait staff" was top drawer as well and the music great. We also appreciated the young servicemen and the women who spent the evening with us. It was nice to meet the family of another resident too - a new connection for us.
We are thankful for having you in our lives and for the compassionate care you give to all of us. Again, thank you very much.
Warmly,
-Roz Frederick and Family
When it became obvious that I could no longer give Barbara, my wife of 55 years, the care that she both needed and deserved, I was faced with the task of finding the right place. Not unlike many family members in this situation, I had put off the inevitable and now, a selection/decision had to be made rather quickly.
I heard of Silverado Senior Living through our neurologist who recommended it very highly. So, I did the usual search on line and found many of my questions answered on the Silverado website. Next, I called for an appointment to visit.
During the visit, I had the opportunity to talk with the Administrator, the Director of Family Services, and a Family Ambassador. I was then given a very comprehensive tour of the facility. I was especially impressed with the dedication and obvious total commitment to providing the highest quality care for those loved ones entrusted to them.
Upon completion of the visit, and on the way home, I found myself setting aside my long time personal policy of “Comparison Shopping.” Based on what I had just seen and heard, the only question in my mind was “Where could I possibly go to find a place as favorably impressive as the one I had just left?”
The rest is, as they say, ”History”. The admitting, indoctrination and assimilation processes for Barbara, were highly commendable. The ongoing care, compassion and love shown by the entire staff will never be forgotten.
I am so thankful that Silverado Senior Living was available when we needed it. I am totally and thoroughly satisfied that I found the “Right Place.”

Hope for Donna
“Thankfully, it didn’t take long for Donna to respond to Silverado’s clinical care. She began by engaging in small talk with residents. Soon she made friends with a lady named Bing, a delightful spirit who brought music, stories and laughter into Donna’s world. Bing and Donna became inseparable, enjoying daily walks around the community and participating in weekly outings together.” Read Story

Growing Up Silverado
Most teenagers in Southern California spend their summers staying out late, tanning at the beach, and enjoying their last days of freedom before college. Not 18 year old, Corey Permann. Instead, he would spend his summer figuring out a way to bring joy to seniors with memory-impairment at Silverado Senior Living – Escondido. A Boy Scout for as long as he can remember, an important part of Corey’s life has been contributing to the community and helping others. While most children are lucky enough to know their grandparents, Corey grew up with dozens of grandparents. Read Story
More Testimonials
"From the minute she arrived at Silverado, I could sense that my mother felt safe and loved there. It was so clear that the staff knew exactly what to do and that they really cared about her. For my mother, it was as though she could finally relax and say to herself, 'I'm in the right place.' As many know when dealing with memory loss, you use it or lose it. That is the greatest thing about Silverado - the mental and physical stimulation." Read Story
