24 Hour Nursing Care

Silverado Senior Living - Scottsdale recognizes the complex and frail health conditions that many residents are experiencing. Their condition of dementia may make it difficult for the resident to express concerns or symptoms they experience. Our nurses are skilled in providing comprehensive nursing assessments and because they are on-site 24 hours a day, there is no delay in contacting physicians and families if there is a change of condition.

Physicians Visit Residents on-Site

Our Specialty Hospital in Scottsdale has board-certified physicians as Medical Directors. These physicians are trained in taking care of patients with dementia and other chronic diseases of the elderly.

Our medical directors, as well as other associated physicians, will come to Silverado Senior Living - Scottsdale to visit the residents. This allows the physician to see the resident in the home-like setting, without the strain and inconvenience to the resident of being transported out for medical visits.

Individualized Care Plans

• An individualized Nursing Care Plan is developed for every resident at the time of initial move-in and updated frequently.
• The Care Plan is comprehensive, inclusive of many aspects of the resident's health condition.

Response to an Acute Illness

With 24 hour nursing on-site, a resident will get prompt attention if there is an acute illness. Common infections in the elderly such as urine or respiratory infections, are assessed early, treatment can be started promptly and serious health crises are often avoided.

Restorative Care

• Silverado Senior Living has developed its own specialized program of Restorative Care. Caregivers and nurses receive special training in how to enable our dementia residents to preserve their abilities to ambulate, self-feed and self-toilet for as long as possible.
• Silverado's Restorative Aides also assist residents who have physically declined or suffered a fall, to regain their abilities to be as active as possible.

Care Throughout the Continuum of Dementia

Silverado's nursing team are specialists in caring for people in all stages of memory-impairing conditions. Our goal is to support each resident to be the very best they can be and live the fullest spectrum of life, whatever their stage of dementia. As a resident progresses through dementia, our nurses and social workers assist the family in planning ahead for a dignified and comfortable end of life. Silverado Hospice is available in most locations to support the family and resident.
