Silverado Senior Living CEO and President, Loren Shook, wins 2005 Ernst & Young  Award for Orange County Entrepreneur of the Year.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award honors those whose ingenuity and hard work have created and sustained successful business ventures. Selected from companies in Orange County and the state of Arizona, and judged by innovation, perseverance, and sustainability, Shook and Silverado were seen to have these qualities, in large measure.

TALA Community Hero of the Year

Congratulations to Deanna Smith, Family Ambassador for Silverado Senior Living in The Woodlands for receiving the "Community Hero of the Year!"  Ms. Smith won this award from the Texas Assisted Living Association(TALA) for her continuous volunteerism on activities, work with local charities and organizations, and her loving relationships  with Silverado family members.

Miriam Jimenez of Silverado Senior living - Sierra Vista, wins "National Nurse Hero of the Year" Award.

  The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) created this national recognition program to honor those employees and volunteers who go the extra mile for residents of assisted living communities. The jury felt that Miriam showed outstanding commitment in upholding the true spirit of assisted living care.

Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award – Best Practices
After earning one of three awards for the state of Utah, Silverado Senior Living- Aspen Park was presented with The American Psychological Association (APA) Psychologically Healthy Workplace: Best Practices Honors award. This national award was given for Silverado’s practice of flexible work hours, family support options, training programs and promotion of physical and emotional health and wellness.


 
 

First Annual Assisted Living – Innovations in Quality Award – Strive 4 Success Learning Program
This award, presented by the California Assisted Living Association (CALA), was given for Silverado’s Strive 4 Success Learning Program.  This innovative, peer-training program has measurably improved employee satisfaction, resulting in industry-leading retention rates and overall staff quality.

   
   

Second Annual Assisted Living – Innovations in Quality Award - Comprehensive Fall Prevention Program
The California Assisted Living Association (CALA) presented this award to Silverado Senior Living, honoring their Comprehensive Fall Prevention Program. It was developed to lower fall rates among residents, and achieve an ongoing improvement in fall rates, thereby improving the overall condition and quality of life for residents.

     
     

CALA Staff Training Award – Mentorship Program
Silverado Senior Living – Escondido was given this award by The California Assisted Living Association (CALA) for its Mentorship Program.

 
 
 
Innovations in Healthcare – ABL Silver Medal – Remote Presence Technology
Presented to Silverado for its innovations in incorporating Remote Presence Technology™, which affords immediate access to our communities via robot technology. In partnership with InTouch Health, Inc. who pioneered robotics in healthcare, we received this award from Adaptive Business Leaders (ABL) - a membership organization for CEOs and Presidents of healthcare and technology firms. This  ground breaking technology allows for training oversight and interaction with communities from experts at a central location.
 
 

TALA Nurse Hero of the Year
Congratulations to Nancy Miller, Assistant Director of Health Services at Silverado Senior Living in Cypresswood, for receiving the "Nurse Hero of the Year"! Ms. Miller won this award from the Texas Assisted Living Association (TALA) for her tireless efforts to improve the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
